ECO Sizing material for weaving
Sizing is the first step of production of woven textile process. The sizing material generally composes of three major substances - Starch, PVA and lubricant.
Due to environmental protection, PVA is prohibited as this polymer is hard to break down naturally, and it became a big issue in the textile finishing waste water treatment plant.
Our company developed a new ECO sizing material that is extracted from natural substance and easy to degrade naturally. It can also decrease the use of energy by reducing the desizing process and waste water treatment process.
In the current climate, many brands are advocating the use of organic cotton and BCI cotton to achieve sustainability of textile product. Therefore, our group is engaging this ECO sizing material as our main content of sizing to further extend the sustainable aspect of our products. It can lower the COD of the pretreatment effluent and minimize energy usage of the waste water treatment plant.
This latest sizing material has been applied in our product TW926-13972ECO, RY8001-22070ECO and RY8001-22070ECOM in which the cotton is also BCI. This greige fabric can be used directly for garment making and garment dye.
In contrast to traditional woven fabric that undergoes pretreatment process and heavy alkaline treatment such as scouring, bleaching and mercerization, the outcome of this garment dyed has a unique hand feel (full and soft).
Our company is also engaging this sizing material in multi-fiber products and yarn dyed fabric, it will become the new era of ECO sizing material.
